The Fallen Angel statue, also known as the "Victorious Youth" statue, is located in the city of Petrovaradin, Serbia. It was created by the Serbian sculptor Ivan Meštrović in 1928 to commemorate the fallen soldiers of the First World War. The statue stands 5 meters tall and depicts a muscular, winged figure with his head bowed and his wings spread. The pose is meant to symbolize the moment of surrender and defeat. The statue was originally located in Belgrade, but was moved to Petrovaradin in 1946. Today, it is considered one of the most important works of art in Serbia and is a popular tourist attraction.
